The MaxSurgery III is
an ultrasonic surgical system (piezosurgery device)
manufactured by Guilin Refine Medical Instrument Co., Ltd. for use in minimally
invasive bone surgery, primarily in dental and maxillofacial applications.
Key Features
- Minimally Invasive: The device utilizes micron-level
ultrasonic vibrations (at a frequency of 26±3kHz) to cut bone tissue with
high precision, minimizing damage to surrounding soft tissues like nerves
and blood vessels. This results in smaller incisions (as minimal as 3.5mm
x 0.5mm), less post-operative pain, and faster patient recovery.
- Selective Cutting: High-intensity focused ultrasound
selectively cuts bone tissue of a specific hardness, while leaving soft
tissue unharmed. It also helps in stopping wound bleeding.
- Multiple Operating Modes: The unit features four distinct
modes, selectable via a touch control panel:
- B (Bone-cutting)
- P (Periodontal
treatment)
- E (Endodontic
treatment)
- C (Cleaning)
- Integrated Cooling System: A special spray cooling system using
sterile saline flushes the surgical area, removing bone debris, providing
a clearer surgical field, and reducing the risk of cross-infection.
- User-Friendly Design: It features an intuitive touch
screen interface, a multi-function foot pedal for adjusting power and
water flow, and autoclavable components (handpiece and cable) to ensure
sterility.
Range of Applications
The MaxSurgery III is widely used
across various surgical fields:
- Oral Surgery: Minimally invasive tooth extractions
(especially impacted or supernumerary teeth), alveolar bone trimming, and
maxillary sinus lifts.
- Implantology: Bone splitting, implant site
preparation, autologous bone grafting, and bone mass osteotomy.
- Periodontal Surgery: Crown lengthening and root planing.
- Endodontic Surgery: Apicoectomy and apical inverted
filling.
- Maxillofacial Surgery: Orthognathic surgery and extraction
of cysts or tumors.
- Other Fields: Orthopedic, cosmetic, neurosurgery,
and otolaryngology.
